At Atelier Madre in Barcelona, we handcraft every product with care and precision, aiming to achieve the highest quality in each piece. We source premium leather from local tanneries and cut each component to maximize efficiency and ensure durability through hand-stitching.

Edges are beveled and burnished using traditional methods, giving our products their unique rounded finish. We control every step of the process, sourcing most of our materials from European suppliers to support local communities and reduce environmental impact, while focusing on sustainability through waste reduction and the use of vegetable-tanned leather.

Is vegetable tanned leather real leather?

Yes, vegetable-tanned leather is absolutely real leather—in fact, it’s the most authentic type you’ll find. The term refers to the traditional tanning method, which has been used since the earliest days of leather crafting. Unlike chrome tanning, which takes just 3–7 days, vegetable tanning requires 1–2 months, resulting in leather that ages beautifully, develops a rich patina, and carries that unmistakable, natural leather aroma.

How do you ship?

We exclusively ship worldwide with UPS, as we’ve found it to be the most reliable option for ensuring your order arrives safely and on time.

Can you make custom sizes?

Yes, we offer custom sizes! Just let us know your laptop model or provide the exact measurements, and we’ll craft a sleeve tailored to fit perfectly.

Do your laptop sleeves have padding?

We use 2mm thick leather to provide excellent protection for your laptop. Similar to phone cases, it fits snugly around your device, offering better protection than padded interiors. Since leather naturally stretches over time, your laptop may feel tight when you first use the case. However, it will gradually adapt, achieving a perfect fit that combines security with ease of use.
