Strap length

The strap is 101 - 121 cm long measured from the top of the bag. The strap length can be adjusted inside of the bag. The strap can be doubled and removed completely. The bag can be carried as crossbody, shoulder, hand or clutch bag. The bag can be attached to your belt through the woven leather. Please contact us for special sizes.

In September 2021, we opened our atelier in the heart of Barcelona. Every piece is handcrafted in-house, using full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather sourced from a local tannery. Our leather not only ensures durability but also develops a unique patina over time, making your sleeve truly one of a kind.

Made by hand

At Atelier Madre in Barcelona, we handcraft every product with care and precision, aiming to achieve the highest quality in each piece. We source premium leather from local tanneries and cut each component to maximize efficiency and ensure durability through hand-stitching.

 

Edges are beveled and burnished using traditional methods, giving our products their unique rounded finish. We control every step of the process, sourcing most of our materials from European suppliers to support local communities and reduce environmental impact, while focusing on sustainability through waste reduction and the use of vegetable-tanned leather.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is vegetable tanned leather real leather?

Yes, vegetable-tanned leather is absolutely real leather—in fact, it’s the most authentic type you’ll find. The term refers to the traditional tanning method, which has been used since the earliest days of leather crafting. Unlike chrome tanning, which takes just 3–7 days, vegetable tanning requires 1–2 months, resulting in leather that ages beautifully, develops a rich patina, and carries that unmistakable, natural leather aroma.
